Camden Town is a vibrant and unique part of London that feels like its own town rather than part of the city. Come out of the underground station and you are right in the heart of Camden Town, at a crossroads that could lead you in 5 different directions. Follow Camden High Street in one direction for the usual high street shops and cafes, or walk in the opposite direction to see some of Camden's famous alternative culture.

You shouldn't stay in Camden without visiting the markets. There are several different markets selling everything from alternative clothes and jewellery to shisha pipes and vintage vinyl records. Camden also has restaurants and food stalls offering cuisine from every country you could think of, as well as some fantastic live music venues.

If you're staying in accommodation in Camden and it's a nice day, you could take a walk down the canal which leads to Regent's Park. Or if the weather is not on your side, sitting in one of the tiny cafes and people-watching through the window will make an interesting afternoon.
